 Trevor just seemed to know he was mine from the exact moment I told Susan I wanted
 him. We had some fun and excitement at the shows - some Best of Breeds and group
 placements and he sired a couple of champions, then lived a quiet life here at home.
 When the time was right for Trevor to have a retirement home, an older couple came to
 visit and expressed an interest in an older dog.  Jack was in fragile health, but he and
 Babs could hardly wait to take Trevor home, but Trevor needed to be neutered and
 recover from that and an intestinal upset before he could leave.  Jack and Babs came for
 another visit, but Trevor wasn't quite ready to leave just yet. Then about a week later, they
 came to visit again and this time, Jack just insisted that they should take Trevor home
 that day.......... and so he went.

 Trevor adjusted very well to his new home. He was most attentive and stayed very close
 to Jack, who had become weaker. Just two weeks after Trevor arrived, Jack died. Babs
 and I thought that Jack knew what was going to happen and wanted Trevor to be there
 for Babs. He was - and is still. Babs says that everyone who meets him wants to take
 Trevor home with them, but, of course, that is out of the question. He promised Jack to
 take care of Babs.
