| At
the time of the '99 PWCCP Specialty, I hadn't seen Rocky for many months.
I was browsing the concessions tables in the hall and suddenly, a dog came
out of the blue and leapt up to crash into my hip! I looked down
and found Rocky! He went into an elaborate greeting ceremony.
Shirley was as surprised as I was, since she hadn't noticed that I was
standing there. During the rest of the show and again at the 2000
specialty, Rocky (the obedience dog) would always drag Shirley across the
room/lawn to come over to greet me, usually before she spotted me!
You have to love a dog that remembers you from year to year like Rocky! |
How I wish you
could see him run. This ends the agility season and now we will work on
getting his Utility title in obedience. I can't thank you enough Lois,
for letting me have this very special Corgi.

An update on Rocky's latest achievments. Last weekend we showed in the
PBGV agility trial in Mt. Holly, NJ. The winds were blowing 45 mph and
the temp never reached 50. I nearly froze to death but Rocky loved it.
He just flew around those courses and ended up taking first place in standard
excellent with a perfect score of 100 and no time faults. He was the only
12" dog to have a clean run. Two weeks before that, he picked up his second
leg in open j/ww with a second place. |
